About the Event

The ESC residency with Meow comes to an end for 2022 and we have prepared the biggest party ever to end the year with all our favourite players.

It has been more than a year since Umar, Sujai and thrillpvck thari have graced the stage with ESC and we are pumped to have them back.

Umar Zakaria is a double bassist and composer, who received the Tui award for 'Best Jazz Artist' in 2018 from Recorded Music New Zealand. He is known for uniting diverse musical traditions to inspire communication and cooperation across cultural boundaries.

HipHop MC and producers Sujai and thrillpvck thari will be joining Umar and band for a one time only collab performance that everyone will be talking about for months to come.

Also for one time only. The mysterious N/A will be opening the evening with an electronic set. Many rumours have been spread about the duo. They practice only in the depths of Akatarawa valley, speak in ancient tongue, and have platinum records under a different name before denouncing all material posessions. Who knows what's true, come and see for yourself.
